Police open fires on dacoits in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi: The police open fired and struck two dacoits at Ashraya Colony on the outskirts of Kalaburagi city early Thursday morning.

The two dacoits are identified as Shekhar and Azeem, residents of Alanda checkpost. They endeavored to attack the police in an attempt to escape.

PSIs Parashurama and Waheed Kotwal shot the dacoits in the leg. The dacoits who were harmed are presently being treated at the district hospital.

Constables Bande Nawaz and Bhima Naik were also injured in the action. They are being treated at the Basaveshwara Hospital. 

The dacoit team are needed in accused in many dacoity, murders and different cases. 

A case has been registered at the Kalaburagi Rural police station.
