
Political rivalry: Cong workers assaulted in Thokottu

Mangaluru: Two Congress workers sustained injuries after they were assaulted by BJP activists allegedly for campaigning for Congress candidate in their ward during the recently held urban local body polls.
The incident took place at Moonlight Bar at Thokkottu Olapete near here on Wednesday late night. The injured George, 51, and Krishnanagara resident Mohandas, 42, had campaigned for Congress candidate, Chitra Chandrakanth who emerged victorious from this ward.
George and Mohandas have identified their perpetrators as Kavith, Arun, and Suni.
A case has been registered with the Ullal police.
