Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Friday met Governor Vajubhai Wala and held discussions with him.

The visit has led to speculations that the reason for Chief Minister’s visit might be to discuss the cabinet expansion. The BJP government in Karnataka which completed one year on July 26, 2019 is yet to fill six cabinet positions.

A recent visit by Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi to Delhi had sparked speculation about a leadership change. He later told reporters that Yediyurappa is their leader and he will complete his three-year term.

Meanwhile, Home Minister BS Bommai who accompanied Yediyurappa during the visit told reporters that no talks were held on Cabinet expansion. The governor has appreciated the government’s efforts in tracking illegal drug rackets, he added.
