Mangaluru: It has been confirmed that the recently nabbed underworld don Ravi Poojary who is originally from Karavali and arrested in Senegal was bearing a fake passport and shockingly, the fake passport in his possession was created in Mandya. This passport was created bearing the name Antony Fernandes. The police suspect that the passport must have been created and provided by those who are very close to Poojary.
Two weeks back when Ravi Poojary was being arrested, he was in possession of an Indian Passport with the name Antony Fernandes. It is being said that he had several other passports of various countries including Sri Lanka. Under interrogation, Poojary revealed that the fake passport with the name Antony Fernandes was created years ago and provided to him by those who have a close contact with the underworld or those who were previously active in the area. According to sources, in the fake passport Ravi Poojary has given his permanent address to be of Mysuru.
Ravi Poojary, who has been involved in several crimes in Mumbai, Mangaluru, Udupi, Bengaluru and throughout the country including extorting money from big helpless industrialists under the threat to life is now literally scared, inform reliable sources to ‘Udayavani’. Apparently, the interrogation methods of Senegal police totally terrified the criminal to the extent where he is suffering from fever due to his fear. On the other hand, the process to extradite Poojary to India is underway with assistance from the Indian Embassy at Dakar in Senegal.
Mandya passport with Chota Rajan too
Not just Ravi Poojary, there are reports that another underworld element Chota Rajan too had his fake passport created in Mandya district itself. His name in the fake passport is mentioned as P Mohan.
