Udupi: KPCC President DK Shivakumar on Sunday said that Pramod Madhwaraj has deceived the Congress party and he should be defeated in the elections, regardless of where he contests.

Speaking at the Prajadwani Convention held in Udupi, DKS said, ” Despite being a Minister in the Congress party, Madhwaraj cheated us and joined the BJP. However, not a single Congress worker joined the BJP. I congratulate all members of Congress.”

“If Madhwaraj is given a ticket by the BJP, he should be defeated,” he added.

Leader of Opposition, Siddaramaiah said, ” He received funds from our party and ran as a JDS candidate in the Lok Sabha elections. Later rejoined the Congress and is now a member of the BJP. He deserves to be defeated in the coming elections.”
