Udupi: Pramod Madhwaraj filed nomination as JD(S) candidate for the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency on Monday, March 25. Mr Madhwaraj was chosen as coalition candidate to contest under the JD(S) symbol after JD(S) failed to come up with a suitable candidate for the constituency.

We go by the principles taught by Narayana Guru who said all religions are same. I, Madhu Bangaparra and Mithun Rai together will fight for the empowerment of youth, women and farmers,” he assured.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister K J George asked people to fight BJP party with unity and said, “BJP is a communal party and it should be defeated.”
