Vijayapura: Sri Ram Sena national president Pramod Muthalik on Monday accused the Central government of playing appeasement politics for not prosecuting the chief of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) after his statement that they will build the Babri Masjid at the same spot as the new Ram temple.

Speaking to reporters here Muthalik added that by saying so the AIMPLB chief had committed a crime of contempt of the Supreme Court’s verdict.

He further said that those who cannot comply with the Supreme Court’s verdict must not stay in the country and must go to Pakistan. He lambasted the central government for not taking any immediate action against such anti-social elements.

In Ayodhya, the central government had invited those who opposed the construction of the temple like Iqbal Ansari to the groundbreaking ceremony. However, Praveenbhai Togadia, who fought for the construction of the temple throughout his life, was not invited and is now condemned, he said.

He also claimed that a Dr Giridhara Kaje, an expert in Indian medicine had given more than 70 lakh Ayurvedic tablets for the prevention of COVID-19 for free. However, he alleged that the government did not deliver the tablets and succumbed to the allopathy lobby.

He further alleged that the State government has for 100% committed corrupt actions in managing COVID-19 in the State. However, the Opposition in the State has failed to provide proper evidence.

The State government has not sanctioned public Ganeshotsav celebrations to be held from August 22. The Government of Maharashtra has allowed it. We will comply with all the COVID-19 protocols and will publicly celebrate the festival if the government is stubborn in its stance and refuses permission, then they can arrest us.

The leaders of Srirama Sena Neelakantha Kandgal, Gangadhar Kulkarni, Rakesh Math, Basavaraja Kalyanappagola and Ananda Kulkarni were present.
