Mangaluru: Priority will be given for development works in the district said Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister and Minister for urban development and housing, U.T. Khader on Friday June 15th.
Speaking at a press meet here Khader said, “Undertaking development works in the district is our priority and we will not play politics in this regard. All the parties need to join hands when it comes to development without any bias. The development works will be done in three phases, starting from discussion with representatives, the officials concerned and the departments to take the work ahead. Priority will be given to important development works.”
“For undertaking central government works, a delegation will meet the ministers in New Delhi and discuss about implementing them. There is a need to create an atmosphere that is conducive to working together. Even the Smart City project and ADB second phase work will commence. We are in need of a separate commissioner and an official team for this,” he added.
“The schemes of the housing department must reach the people. We are looking into housing scheme applicants and allotment will be done within a week. It will be a real test for me to serve as the district in-charge minister. I will work without any discrimination towards maintaining peace and harmony of the district,” he confirmed.
