Puttur: 6 absconding, 1 arrested in honeytrap case

Puttur: Police here arrested a woman while six others have escaped in a honeytrap case.

A Nettanige Mudnur resident Ibrahim (25) had lodged a police complaint against seven people on April 12 after losing Rs 30 lakhs to them in a honeytrap.

KMY Haneef from Mudnur, Mohammed Kunza from Kotyadi, Shafi from Kotyadi, Azhar from Savanur, Saeed Monu, Nasir and Tanisha from Karkala were named by Ibrahim in his complaint.

Tanisha was arrested by a police team led by DySP Dr Gana P Kumar.

Further investigation is on to pursue the remaining six accused who are absconding.
