Puttur: Pourakarmikas search for stash of cash in garbage and return it to owner

Puttur: In an incident similar to the one that occurred on October 30 in Udupi, municipal garbage workers here found a stash of cash for a person who had accidentally dropped it in a garbage bin.

After the man informed the workers about his lost money, the workers sifted through piles of garbage at Bannur near here and found the bag with the money.

The money was to be used by the person to pay for the hospital bills of a patient under treatment.

Yamunappa and Saddam Hussain were the civic workers who found the money for the person.
