Puttur: Woman dies of dengue; second death in taluk

Puttur: A woman suffering from dengue fever died on the night of June 18 in a private hospital at Mangaluru.

The deceased has been identified as Naseema (32), wife of Nazir Master, a resident of Ariyadka in the taluk.

Naseema had been suffering from fever for the past week and was been treated in Puttur. However, she was admitted to a hospital at Mangaluru after her health worsened. She died at the hospital there after not reacting to the treatment.

Naseema is survived by her husband and three sons.

This is the second case of dengue death in Puttur taluk. A woman had died of dengue fever at Bettampadi a week ago.
