Rahul visits families of murdered Congress workers

Kasaagod: Rahul Gandhi visited the houses of slain Congress youth activists and consoled the family members.

The AICC president arrived at Periya Kendra Vidyalaya helipad from Kannur and visited the house of the late Congress worker Kripesh. He assured support to the family.

Mr Gandhi later visited the house of another deceased Congress worker Sharathlal.

Addressing the media Rahul said, “We will fight until justice is done to the families of Kripesh and Sharathlal. We demand stringent punishment for the culprits. The Congress fully supports the families of the slain party workers.”

Former chief minister Ummen Chandy, opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, KPCC president Mullapally Ramachandran, AICC secretary K C Venugopal and other Congress leaders were present.
