Rain in Kodagu; relief work affected

Madikeri: Kodagu district received heavy rainfall on Monday. 

As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) data, the district received 32mm rainfall on Monday.

Police said that, “Due to heavy downpour during the day and at night, several relief works may be affected,”

Heavy rainfall was reported in Madikeri, Suntikoppa, Mekeri and surrounding areas. The inflow of river Cauvery has increased substantially in Bhagamandala.

IMD reports suggests mild rainfall, thunderstorm for the next 24 hours in the district.
