Hubballi: Public Administration and district in-charge minister Ramesh Jarkiholi on Saturday said that making his younger brother Satish Jarkiholi the chief minister of Karnataka was his top priority.

His statements came a day after losing control of Belagavi’s Primary Land Development (PLD) bank to MLA Laxmi Hebbalkar. The Jarkiholi brothers, who had been at loggerheads for some years now have come together owing to differences with Hebbalkar.

Speaking to media persons at Gokak here, Ramesh said that he would help Satish become chief minister soon.

“The family’s political objective is to project Satish Jarkiholi as the frontrunner.  We are all together on this. There is no difference of opinion on that,” he added.
