Tea being one of the most loved beverages in the world, is available in various varieties across the globe.
Nowadays people have become health-conscious, so much that they are replacing normal tea with something healthier and lighter like green tea or black tea. The debate around green tea Vs black tea is never-ending but we happen to have found an answer,
Green tea leaves are steamed or fried so that they don’t lose their color. They are derived from a plant called Camellia Sinensis. Even Black tea leaves are derived from the same plant.
Green tea has antioxidants and catechins which eliminate the free radicals in the body that lead to cancer.
Green tea also helps in weight loss by increasing the metabolic rate of the body. As green tea has tannins, it helps prevent any common health problems like the common cold.
Black tea on the other hand has a high amount of caffeine which instantly boosts your energy and refreshes your mind. Black tea helps in weight loss too as it reduces your appetite, making you consume a fewer amount of calories.
Black tea in fact helps reduce the risk of heart-related problems as it lowers cholesterol levels.
Experts say that both teas have their individual benefits but green tea is slightly better due to its antioxidant contents.
