In the high-profile Renukaswamy murder case, the police have gathered technical evidence against 17 accused, including actor Darshan. Investigators have successfully retrieved deleted data from the suspects’ mobile phones and CCTV DVRs.
The police procured new SIM cards registered in the names of the accused and collected all relevant data from their mobile devices. It was discovered that the accused had destroyed Renukaswamy’s mobile phone after the murder.
To recover data, a SIM card in Renukaswamy’s name was obtained, allowing access to his Instagram and WhatsApp accounts. The investigation revealed obscene messages sent by Renukaswamy to Pavitra Gowda and several actresses and young women.
Additionally, movements of Darshan from June 8 to 10 were retrieved from the CCTV DVR at his residence. The murder weapon, a megger device, was ordered online by Dhanraj and delivered by a delivery boy who has been questioned by the police. The sources confirmed that his statement has been recorded.
The meticulous collection of technical evidence, including mobile data and surveillance footage, is expected to play a crucial role in the ongoing investigation and subsequent legal proceedings.
