Mangaluru: The Vijaya Bank Workers’ Organisation (VBWO) members claim that St Aloysius College authorities are misleading the public on the High Court order to rename the road between Catholic Club and Ambedkar Circle as ‘St.Aloysius College Road’.
It may be recalled that over a week ago, Rector and vice president of St Aloysius College, Fr Dionysius Vaz and principal, Dr Praveen Martis, said in a release that the college will undertake all legal steps needed in this matter. They stated that as the dispute has now been referred to the court, they will wait for the final verdict on the same.
Addressing press persons, Bunts Welfare Trust Organising Secretary Rajgopal Rai said that VBWO has already submitted a memorandum to the mayor, district administration, town planning section and police commissioner on renaming of the Light House Hill Road as per the interim order of the High Court.
