Rs 62 Lakh silver idol gifted to Rahul Gandhi

Hosapete: Independent MLA from Kudligi B Nagendra, who has chosen to join the Congress presented a 1.5-feet gold-covered silver idol of Saint Valmiki to the Congress president Rahul Gandhi at the inaugration of his Janaashirvada Yatra here on saturday. The token is said to be worth Rs 62 lakh.

Former BJP MLA B Anand Singh, who as of late joined the Congress, gifted a silver ‘gadhe’ (mace) to Rahul Gandhi. Nagendra and Singh are accused in the illegal mining scam. Both the ministers were arrested and are presently out on bail.
