Bengaluru: Income tax sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at the residences and offices of leading actors and top producers of the Sandalwood industry.
As per sources, raids are being conducted at as many as 23 places, including residences of Rocking Star Yash, Kiccha Sudeep, Shiva Rajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar and others in a suspected tax evasion case. Residences of producers of Blockbuster hit KGF Vijay Kiragandhur and Villain producer CR Manohar and Rockline Venkatesh have also been raided.
Teams comprising around 200 sleuths in total are involved in the exercise, said an official.
Meanwhile, mobile phones of the people being raided were switched off and the family members were not available to comment.
