Sandalwood drug racket: Ragini named second accused, Ravishankar’s name excluded from FIR

Bengaluru: CCB police have registered a suo motu FIR at the Cottonpet Police Station against 12 persons, including actor Ragini Dwivedi and high-profile party organiser Viren Khanna in the Sandalwood drug racket case.

Notably, Ravishankar, an acquaintance of Ragini who was among the first few to be arrested in the case has not been named in the FIR.

The CCB police arrested Ragini and Viren, based on the information given by Ravishankar. As per sources, Ravishankar’s name has been excluded from the FIR as he has turned an approver in the case.

Shivaprakash alias Chippi has been named as the prime accused while Ragini Dwivedi and Viren Khanna are the second and third accused persons in the case. The other people named in the FIR include Prashant Ranka, Vaibhav Jain, Aditya Alva, Loum Pepper Ssamba, Prashant Raju, Ashwin alias Boogie, Abhiswamy, Rahul Tonse, Vinay and others.

Loum Pepper Samba, who was allegedly distributing drugs to the celebrities and their associates was arrested by CCB on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Rahul Shetty, an acquaintance of Sanjana Galrani too has not been named in the FIR. Sources said that the CCB police are still questioning him to gather more information about the case.
