Sanjay Garg Lakme Absolute Show designer at LFW 2017

Mumbai: Sanjay Garg will be opening the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week winter festive 2017 as the Lakme Absolute Show designer.

The designer is known for his craftsmanship and his new collection is inspired by intricate Chikankari work on Bengal mul, zardozi and hand woven brocade.

“Working with Lakme Fashion Week is always a pleasure – it is where I had my first show and is a platform that encourages new ideas and talent.

“The Lakme Absolute show this winter festive season will be my first collection of embroidery – with explorations in Chikankari. Lakme’s beauty theme for the season, ‘Liquid Gold’, is a perfect complement to the collection,” Garg said in a statement.

“We welcome Sanjay Garg to the Lakme Grand Opening Night.

He has an eclectic Indian style that matches our Argan- Liquid Gold trend for this festive season,” said Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovation at Lakme.

The show will take play on the day one of the fashion week at 9:00 pm.
