Section 144 extended from Dec 27 to 29 in Mangaluru Commissionerate jurisdiction

Mangaluru: To maintain law and order after the alleged murder of a person named Jaleel on December 24 night in the Katipalla area of Surathkal, Section 144 was imposed in Surathkal, Bajpe, Kavoor, and Panambur police station limits, falling under the Mangaluru Commissionerate jurisdiction from December 25, 6 AM to December 27, 6 AM.

Currently, to avoid any untoward incident, as a precautionary measure, Section 144 imposition has been extended from December 27, 6 AM to December 29, 6 AM, Surathkal, Bajpe, Kavoor, and Panambur police station limits falling under the Mangaluru Commissionerate jurisdiction.

The three accused have been arrested in relation to the murder case and remanded for judicial custody.
