Security scare raised by passenger on Mumbai-bound flight at MIA; flight delayed

Mangaluru: Flight operation at Mangaluru International airport was affected following a security scare here on Sunday, August 14.

As per reports, the scare was raised by a person onboard the Mumbai-bound flight after he happened to see the chat of his co-passenger.

As per sources, the passenger was chatting with a female friend of his who was waiting at the airport itself to board a flight for Bengaluru and the two had joked about the security issue.

The person who noticed this went into a tizzy and alerted the crew.

Following the scare, all the flight passengers were deboarded and a thorough inspection of the plane was conducted.

Airport authorities have clarified that there is no cause for panic.
