Seven killed after car rams into lorry in Shivamogga

Shivamogga: In a tragic accident reported, seven people were killed on the spot at Muddinakoppa in Shivamogga on Wednesday night after the Innova car they were travelling by collided head-on into a lorry loaded with wood.

The deceased were identified as Madhu, resident of Magadi, Praveen, Raghavendra, resident of Shikaripura, Choradi Manjunath, Shridhar, resident of Bengaluru and Rajashekhar from Soraba.

It is said that they were on their way to Sagara from Bengaluru to attend a marriage function.

Rescue operations lasted for about three hours and the bodies were retrieved from the car.

A case stands registered at Kumpi station.
