Shimoga: Medico stranded on cliff at Hidlumane waterfalls rescued

Shimoga: A man was stranded on a cliff at the 80 feet of Kodachadri Hidlumane waterfalls more than five hours after a trek went wrong.
Amogha (29), a native of Hassan who is a medical student at a college in Bengaluru along with two of his roommates had come to Kodachadri on Saturday night for a trek. The three climbed the Kodachadri Giri on Sunday morning and then headed straight to Hidlumane Falls. The trio had then climbed from the base of the falls to the top, but Amogaha got stranded in between.
Fire department officials, forest officials, and locals after receiving the news that a man was stranded on top of the 80 feet waterfalls rushed to the location and began the rescue operation. After five hours of continuous effort, the officials successfully rescued Amogha.
Fire Brigade officers KP Ramappa, Halappa, Shivu, HM Mathapathi, Nagaraj, Wildlife Department officer Rupesh Chauhan were part of the operation.
