Shivamogga violence: Section 144 in city extended again

Shivamogga: The curfew, imposed within the city limits here after incidents of communal strife, has been extended till 10 am on Wednesday, December 9.

A Bajrang Dal worker was attacked on December 3 which was followed by violence in some parts of the city.

Tehsildar NJ Nagraj immediately imposed Section 144 banning the assembly of more than 5 people at a spot.

The curfew, which ended on the morning of December 5, was extended till December 7.

After an appeal from the police department to extend the curfew, Tehsildar Nagraj obliged and extended the curfew, for a second time, till December 9.
