Shravanabelagola Mahamastakabhisheka procession enters Golden Book of Records

Hassan: The six-kilometer-long parade, taken out around Vindhyagiri as a feature of the 88th Mahamastakabhisheka on February 16, has entered the Golden Book of Records for being the ‘biggest melodic parade,’ leaving the general population having a place with the Jain people group thrilled. In excess of 200 society troupes and 12,000 individuals, including artistes, Jain munis, matajis and enthusiasts partook in the parade. An assortment of tableaux, portraying the Jain culture and custom, from over the state added sparkle to the parade.

Various individuals buckled down for the accomplishment of the parade, including parade sub-advisory group president M Ajith Kumar, individuals Pramod Kumar and Mahaveer, Bahubali Engineering College primary Gommateshwara Ravannanavar and architect Santosh Kumar, who arranged the course outline.

With Mahamastakabhisheka drawing lakhs of devotees from over the globe, Lord Bahubali has transformed into a worldwide brand. Jain seer Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swami, who is driving the Mahamastakabhisheka, concurred that the quantity of foreign enthusiasts going by Shravanabelagola has expanded.

Addressing the media, the seer said however they had been attempting to proliferate the messages of Bahubali through writing, the experience you get when you personally visit Shravanabelagola and have darshan is extraordinary. Those leaving the Jain journey focus convey a message of world peace and sacrifice, he said.

On Wednesday, a 1,000-kalasha jalabhisheka was held from 8.30 am to 12 pm. The statue of Bahubali was smeared with tender coconut water, sugarcane juice, milk, turmeric and sandalwood paste in the midst of the droning of hymns by thousands of devotees. The statue was likewise blessed with ‘Kashaya,’ made of herbs. It symbolizes demolition of contempt and evil desires wants from individuals’ minds. It is said that the herbs will protect the statue.
