Siddaganga seer returns to mutt

Bengaluru: The 111-year-old head of Siddaganga Mutt Sri Shivakumara Swamiji who was admitted to BGS Hospital in Bengaluru following health problems returned to the mutt on Monday, December 3.
The seer was admitted to the hospital for a general check-up. When diagnosed, the doctors found infections in blood and kidney due to which the Swamiji was asked to remain in the hospital for treatment.
Addressing presspersons, senior Dr BS Ravindra said that two stents implanted to the seer is functioning well and infections in blood and kidney have also reduced. However, the seer has to undergo 3-4 antibiotic treatment, but as he is not comfortable staying at the hospital his treatment will be continued in the mutt, he added.
He further informed that the seer needs rest and hence will not give darshan to his devotees for one week.
