Mysuru: Amid the infights and confusions in the Karnataka Congress between KPCC president D K Shivakumar and Opposition leader of Karnataka Assembly Siddaramaiah on “Siddaramotsav”, the latter’s son Congress MLA Dr Yatindra has said that there were no confusions within the party.
Addressing the media, he said that the preparations for celebrations were unnecessarily blown out of proportion. “It is only the birthday celebration of my father and not a political ‘Power Show’. Coincidentally, his 75th-year birthday celebration has come at the time when the Karnataka Assembly election is fast approaching. Hence, this has become a talking point. The celebrations will be held in presence of Congress leaders.”
On the question of whether Siddaramaiah was a CM aspirant, Dr. Yathindra said that once the party would come to power, the party high command would decide on it. “There is no need to speculate and discuss it at present”, he added.
