Skateboarder on solo trip from Kanyakumari to Kashmir killed in road accident

Thiruvananthapuram: In a tragic incident, Malayali youth who set off on his skating board from Kanyakumari to Kashmir died after being hit by a truck in Haryana.

The deceased is Anas Hajas (31), a native of Venjaramoodu.

Though he was rushed to the hospital by the locals, his life couldn’t be saved. His body is being kept at the mortuary of the Government Hospital in Kalka.

Anas started his solo journey from Kanyakumari on May 29 with the aim to create awareness about skateboarding. The accident happened just three days before he was to reach his destination.

Anas, who majored in computer science, has worked at Technopark and a private school in Bihar.
