Kundapur: WhatsApp posts came in handy to trace a 15-year-old boy who was reported missing since November 4 here at Mavinakatte in the taluk.

The boy Prajwal Poojary, a class 10 student of Mavinakatte government high school, had left home for his school as usual on November 4 morning but went missing on the way.

The boys parents, in their complaint said that Prajwal was not interested in pursuing studies and had expressed desire to work.

A photo of the boy alongwith other information was widely circulated through social websites and WhatsApp. The WhatsApp post helped a Udupi hotelier identify the boy when the latter reportedly approached him for a job.

He intimated the police and the boy was reunited with his parents on Wednesday.
