Bantwal: A day after expressing gratitude for the overwhelming response from students for the SSLC examinations, Primary and secondary education minister, S Suresh Kumar on Friday took to Twitter to laud a student who didn’t let hurdles deter him from writing the examination.
Sharing an image of the student, Kaushik who wrote the SSLC examination at Bantwal’s SVS high school, the minister said that he was in awe of the boy’s spirit for writing the exam independently without relying on anyone’s help. Such individuals give new meaning to life. Others should learn from this.
In the picture, Kaushik is seen seated on the floor and using his toes to write answers.

Born to Bantwal’s Rajesh Acharya and Jalajakshi Acharya, Kaushik has been excelling in extracurricular activities apart from his academics. He has not let his physical disability make him reliant on others and has been using his legs to do all his work.
The SSLC examinations in the state began yesterday amid the coronavirus scare. All precautions are being taken by the government to ensure smooth conduct of the exam.
My deep gratitude to parents for their faith in the government, and heartfelt thanks to teaching and other govt staff members, police for their tireless work & dedication. Children will fondly remember their care for a long time to come, Kumar tweeted on Thursday following the huge turnout for the exam.
