Mangaluru: The BJP-led state government has a life span of only 35 days remaining, however, instead of doing a better job and cleaning its acts by doing good work in the remaining days, the government has closed its shop and focused solely on the upcoming elections, alleged MLA U.T. Khader.
In a scathing attack on the BJP-led state government, MLA U.T. Khader has accused them of neglecting the issues faced by the people of Mangaluru. Speaking at a press conference held at the circuit house in the city on Monday, Khader highlighted the plight of the sanitation workers who have been protesting for the past one week, and the resulting threat to cleanliness and health in the city.
Khader lamented that instead of addressing these pressing concerns, the government is preoccupied with the Vijay Sankalpa Yatra, while the administration in the state has completely collapsed. He also cited the non-availability of results for first-year degree classes and the lack of cards to print the RC at the RTO office as further examples of the government’s inefficiency.
When asked about the controversy surrounding Urigowda and Nanjegowda, he referred to his childhood education in history and said “I had learnt that it was the British who killed Tipu Sultan.” Furthermore, Khader expressed concern over the rewriting of history, questioning whether the new narrative would be accurate.
