Mysuru: Hitting at Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy’s plans to embark on ‘grama vasthavya'(village visit), State BJP President BS Yeddyurappa said that the CM should stop such ‘drama’ and instead focus on handling the drought at a time when 80 per cent of villages in the state are facing a water crisis.
Addressing presspersons Yeddyurappa reacted to the statement by the CM that he was not co-operating with the government and had launched a protest on the Jindal land sale row despite the official decision to hand over the issue to a cabinet sub-committee for reconsideration.
He further added, ” Though Kumaraswamy knew that we would protest, a week in advance but, he did not invite us for talks. When we were all set to start our protest march, he wrote a letter and accused us of playing politics on the issue. I do not have to engage in politicking on issues like the Jindal deal.”
