Strict action against people leaking II PU question papers

Mangaluru: Karnataka Education Act 1983 has made a few amendments, which will now allow the authorities to imprison a person if accused of leaking 2nd PU question papers.
The accused will be imprisoned for up to five years with a fine up to Rs.5 lakh.
The January 22 circular issued by Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) directed colleges to inform parents about the new rules and consequences of question-paper.
The circular also mentioned that even if a person has bought a leaked paper, he will have to pay Rs.5 lakh penalty and also be arrested on this charges.
