Techie-photographer molests girls, arrested

Bengaluru: A 26-year-old software engineer cum freelance photographer was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a 21-year-old woman during a photo shoot.

The Pulakeshi Nagar police arrested Aditya Sankla Jain from his residence in Cox Town after receiving two complaints against him. He has been booked for outraging the modesty of a woman and remanded in judicial custody.

In her complaint, the victim stated that she became acquainted with Jain on Instagram. Jain had told her that he was a professional photographer and offered to help her with her portfolio. He suggested two good locations near his house where they could do the photo shoot. The victim agreed and met him at his house where Jain clicked pictures of her while she was changing and even tried to get intimate with her. She however managed to get away from him and refused to contact him again.

Later when she came to know about another instance of harassment by Jain through a student’s Instagram post, she approached the police and lodged a complaint.
