Bengaluru: Taking a jibe at Chief Minister Kumaraswamy, Abhishek Gowda, son of Mandya Independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh said visits to temples or poll surveys would not be able to change the result as the verdict is hidden in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMS).
Addressing presspersons after attending a function organized by a fan, Abhishek said that this month is very special for him and his family as the Lok Sabha results would be declared on May 23 while May 29 happens to be his father’s birth anniversary. Besides, his debut Kannada movie ‘Amar’ will hit the silver screen this month.
“I knew the Mandya result on polling day itself but it needs to be formally announced on May 23. My father’s dream house project is underway in JP Nagar in Bengaluru and after that, the construction of our house in Mandya will start,” he informed.
Commenting on n Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s statement that he need not come to Mandya to drink coffee or tea with his friends, Abhishek said people of Mandya would call him to have a cup of tea or coffee and he didn’t want to disappoint them.
However, he could not make it since he was busy in the post-production events of his debut movie.
