Thalassaemia patient’s dream comes true

Bengaluru: A 12 year old boy who is suffering from Thalassaemia took charge as thehonorary in-charge for VV Puram police station for one day on Tuesday, July 24.
The boy, Shashank whose dream was to be a police inspector, communicated his wish he was undergoing treatment for Thalassaemia at the Vani Vilas hospital. His dream came true when South Division DCP S D Sharanappa allowed him to take in-charge of the police station for one day.
On Tuesday, the boy went to the police station in the police jeep and was introduced to the staff at the station. Later he did the rounds of the station where he went to the lock up and the weapon room.
Before dropping Shashank back to the hospital DCP S D Sharanappa gifted him a toy gun and a walkie-talkie and hoped that his dream of becoming a police inspector comes true in the future. He wished him a speedy recovery.
