Theft at Vitlapadnur: Gold jewellwery stolen from GP vice president’s home

Vitla: A man has lodged a police complaint about the theft of gold jewelry from his home in Vitlapadnur here.
In the complaint, Vitlapadnur Gram Panchayat vice president Nagesh Shetty has told police that the gold kept at his home worth more than Rs one lakh has been stolen.
After attending a wedding on June 8, the gold jewellery was kept in a showcase in the bedroom. The theft came to light the next day when the showcase was opened the jewellery was nowhere to be seen.
A chain, bracelet, and ring made from gold, a ladies wrist watch, and some imitation jewellery were among the things missing. The value of the stolen valuables is estimated to be Rs 1,28,600, the complainant said.
Meanwhile, Vitla police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
