Three arrested for sexual assault on transgender person

Bengaluru: Three persons were arrested on Sunday, May 19 by the Koramangala police for allegedly sexually assaulting a transgender person who runs a beauty parlour in the city.

As per the sources, the incident had taken place on May 12, but the victim lodged a complaint on May 17.

Following the complaint, the Koramangala police nabbed the accused within a short span of time and all of the arrested have been remanded to judicial custody.

It is gathered that one of the accused was a good friend of the victim are good friends and would often visit the latter’s house. But on May 12, he visited the house along with two of his friends and sexually assaulted the victim at knife-point.

The Koramangala police are investing the case.
