TMA Pai hospital: Free treatment for over 250 Covid-19 patients in 3 months

Udupi: TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi, associated with Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and a dedicated Covid-19 facility was handed over to the government during the pandemic.

It is the only private hospital to become a designated Covid-19 hospital and till now has treated more than 250 patients for free.

From April 1 to July 8, the hospital has treated around 254 patients for free. It is said that those suffering from  Covid-19 with severe respiratory problems, pregnant woman and children would be admitted to TMA Pai hospital

The hospital has 11 intensive care unit beds, 15 HDU beds, 36 private rooms and 43 common beds. The hospital, which initially had 100 beds, was again increased by 20 per cent.
