Bengaluru: BBMP mayor M Goutham Kumar on Monday, July 6 urged citizens of the city not to post videos of patients on social media, in order to spread awareness against stigmatizing the process and patients linked to Covid-19 in neighborhoods.
Taking to Twitter, Goutham Kumar wrote, “Please refrain from recording the videos of COVID-19 patients being shifted in an ambulance and posting it on social media. By doing so, you are only stigmatizing the patient & his family,” he appealed.”
He further wrote, “Please empathize. Do not stigmatize. Today, it is your neighbor. Tomorrow it could be you.”
