Train passenger drugged, robbed by stranger

Kasaragod: A train passenger was reportedly drugged and robbed of his cash and valuables by a stranger. The victim, a resident from Kasaragod was travelling in the train to his home town from Mumbai. The victim identified as Arun from Palakkad has been hospitalized.
Arun had been to Mumbai in search of a job recently was returning hometown after he could not find a suitable job. He was travelling in the Hapa Express when a Hindi speaking passenger befriended him and later offered him biscuits. Arun who ate that biscuit fell unconscious and woke up only when the train reached Kasargod. He then realized that the stranger had relieved him of his gold chain and the Rs 2000 cash and ATM card which were in his wallet.
Railway police admitted Arun to Kasaragod General Hospital after he informed them of his plight.
