
Twin district receive good rain; more expected for next 48hrs

Mangaluru: Good rain accompanied with thunder and lightning and strong winds was experienced in the twin cities on Friday night May 24th.
Good rain was reported from Surathkal, Mangaluru, Vittal, Kinnigoli, Mulki, Belthangady, Guruvayanakere, Ujire, Dharmasthala, Uppinangady, Puttur, Venur and B C Road areas of Dakshina Kannada while areas around Subrahmanya witnessed moderate rains on Saturday.
Udupi, Manipal, Padubidri, Karkala and Kundapur also received rain with thunder and lighting.
NDRF team in Mangaluru
A National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team of over 50 personnels have arrived to Mangaluru on Saturday, to handle any natural calamity. This team will carry out precautionary works in the districts of Dakshina Kannada, Karwar and Kodagu.
The weather was cloudy throughout the state and many parts of the state also witnessed good rainfall on Saturday.
