Two arrested for illegal cow trafficking

Sullia: Two persons were arrested by the Subramanya Police personnel after they found that cows were illegally being transported in a violent way inside a car by the accused.

The arrested are Fayaz (27) and a minor.

It is gathered that three cows had been bound together and they were heaped in a violent manner inside the car and three persons were also present in the car. A motorbike was also accompanying the vehicle by way of providing protective cover and giving hint about undue development. The car was moving by Kollamogru and Nadugallu route when the police intercepted the car near Shettiad

However, two accused succeeded in running away.

The cows which were confiscated by the police is tethered in the compound of Subramanya police station.
