Two held for intimidating on-duty ASHA worker

Mangaluru: Two persons were arrested on Saturday, April 11 on charges of intimidating an Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) worker in Malluru Badriya Nagar here.
The victim, Vasanthi, 45, was on official duty when the accused identified as Ismail, 45, and Ashraf, 32, allegedly obstructed, threatened and prevented her from discharging her duties
The arrested Ismail happens to be a SDPI activist. The duo have been booked under section 354, 353, 504 and 506 of Indian Penal Code.
Mangaluru rural police is investigating the case.
