Two M’luru medicos stranded in Malaysia seek govt’s help to return

Mangaluru: Tho KMC Students who are stranded in Malaysia due to COVID-19 lockdown have reached out to the government through a video message and sought help to return back home.

Kasturba Medical Collge students, Naveen Mallya and Mahima Gupta went to Malaysia on March 12 to complete their internship program at a University college at Nilai there.

Malaysia Government had announced the lockdown from March 17, due to which they were unable to complete the internship and are stuck in the city there.

The students have now approached the government via the video message and also said that the KMC Hospital has already reached out to the government and trying for their return. However, the arrangements for this are yet to be furnished.

The students have also written an email to health Minister Sriramulu and awaiting his response to their request.
