Two police personnel injured after jeep topples during chase

Byndoor: Two police personnel, including a circle inspector, sustained injuries after their jeep toppled while chasing an Omni vehicle near Raghavendra Math on the national highway here Thursday late night.
The injured have been identified as Circle Inspector Suresh Naik and jeep driver Hem Raj.
Naik was on night patrol duty, when on basis of suspicion, he chased an Omni vehicle that was plying on the road. During the chase, jeep driver Hem Raj lost control over the vehicle causing it to overturn into a trench near Raghavendra Math here.
They have been admitted to a hospital in Kundapur for treatment.
