UAE honours Bantwal-origin man with ‘golden visa’ for service during COVID-19 pandemic

Bantwal: The United Arab Emirates government has issued a ‘golden visa’ to a man from here for exemplary service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Basheer, general manager at Aster DM Healthcare Group, and his wife and four children have been awarded the visa which entails ten-year stay in the UAE.
Basheer is a resident of Bantwal’s Kelaginapete and has been in the UAE for the past 27 years.
Basheer, under the Aster DM Healthcare Group, provided help to disadvantaged Indian diaspora there by providing them with meals, food kits, health checks, shelter for the homeless and those returning to India during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
