MLAs Yashpal A Suvarna, Gurme Suresh Shetty, Kiran Kodgi, and Gururaj Gantihole, representing the Udupi, Kaup, Kundapur, and Byndoor assembly constituencies respectively, gathered at the Udayavani Manipal headquarters on Wednesday to engage in a constructive discussion on the development of their constituencies.

During the meeting, the MLAs expressed their commitment to jointly making vital decisions for the comprehensive development of their respective constituencies and the district as a whole.

A key focus area highlighted by the MLAs was the growth of the fisheries sector, with an emphasis on boosting the local economy and generating employment opportunities. They also discussed the integration of religious and beach tourism with an improved connectivity system.

Furthermore, the meeting delved into the MLAs’ plans and ideas for overall district development, including addressing challenges related to drinking water supply and network issues in rural areas. They shed light on upcoming projects such as improving the UGD (Underground Drainage) system in Udupi city, addressing concerns arising from the formation of Byndoor Town Panchayat, enhancing facilities at the taluk stadium in Kaup, and expediting the progress of the Warahi project.

Education and healthcare sectors were also a focal point of the discussion, with the MLAs highlighting the need to outline visionary plans to nurture local talent.
